Oprecomp (www.oprecomp.eu) is a 4-year research project funded under the EU Framework Horizon 2020 – Re Program Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) Proactive Initiative: emerging themes and communities.
NiPS Laboratory is one of the partners in the OPRECOMP consortium.
The role of NiPS is to address the fundamental issues in energy consumption during computation, with specific reference to the relation between computing precision and heat production (see e.g. ICT – Energy Concepts for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability).
