Teacher: Prof. Claudia Barolo
Claudia Barolo is a full professor of Industrial Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Torino. Her research interest is focused mostly on the synthesis and characterization of organic and hybrid functional materials (from molecules to polymers) able to interact with light and their possible application in energy related fields (optoelectronics, lighting, and solar cells) as well as in sensors and bio-application. She is also vice-coordinator of the PhD programme in Innovation for the Circular Economy at the University of Turin. Her work resulted in more than 130 publications (h-index 35, >4000 citations).
